São Paulo libraries announce free cultural programming and digital courses

The Biblioteca de São Paulo (BSP) has announced a diverse free programming schedule for September. Highlights include the exhibition ‘Nas margens do Camburi: da fabulação ao livro’, running from September 5 to October 4. The library's agenda features storytelling sessions, film screenings such as ‘Camburi Resiste’, and the ‘Viagem Literária’ program featuring writer Luciany Aparecida.

Other activities include the ‘Sarau da Juventude’, rap battles, and historical fencing workshops. Additionally, the digital library BibliON is offering a free online course titled ‘From literature to cinema: how books become films’. Led by film critic Marcelo Lyrae, the eight-hour course explores the challenges of audiovisual adaptation and will be held via Zoom on select dates in late September and early October.
