São Paulo libraries announce October cultural programming
Public libraries in São Paulo, including the Biblioteca Parque Villa-Lobos and the Biblioteca de São Paulo, have announced diverse cultural programming for October. These initiatives, managed by SP Leituras under the State Secretariat of Culture, Economy, and Creative Industries, offer free activities for various age groups.
Literary discussions are a central feature. The Biblioteca Parque Villa-Lobos will host reading clubs focusing on works by Zuenir Ventura and Luigi Pirandello, alongside a children's reading club. The Biblioteca de São Paulo will feature discussions on Joseph Conrad’s ‘Heart of Darkness’ and Sérgio Vaz’s ‘Flores de Alvenaria’.
Other scheduled events include storytelling sessions, rap battles, manual printing workshops, and technology classes for seniors. Some activities, such as podcast production classes and specific reading clubs, require prior registration, while most others operate on a first-come, first-served basis.
