São Paulo Metro expands Pix payments for QR Code tickets

The São Paulo Metro has begun implementing Pix payments at self-service machines for the purchase of QR Code tickets. This update applies to the TOP system machines operated by Autopass.

The rollout commenced on Line 1-Blue on October 20, 2026, with all machines on that line expected to be enabled by October 22. The expansion will continue to Line 2-Green, with implementation scheduled for October 23 and 26. This change provides passengers with a digital alternative to traditional payment methods when purchasing QR Code tickets, which serve as an alternative to physical transport cards.
