A law student, Márcio Ferreira, was subjected to racial slurs at the Vila Sônia station on the São Paulo Metro this past Sunday. The incident occurred following political demonstrations held during the 2026 presidential election cycle.
According to reports, Ferreira attempted to intervene in a verbal dispute between a woman and other individuals to prevent the situation from escalating into physical violence. During the encounter, the woman, who identified herself as a supporter of Flávio Bolsonaro, directed racial insults at the student, including terms such as “Preto do caralho!” and “preto de bosta.”
