São Paulo Military Police opens 2,000 vacancies for student-soldier

The Military Police of the State of São Paulo (PMESP) has opened a public selection process offering 2,000 vacancies for the position of student-soldier. The role carries an initial salary of R$ 5,482.51 and is responsible for ostensive policing and maintaining public order throughout the state.

Applications must be submitted through the Fundação Vunesp website by August 21, with a registration fee of R$ 100. Eligible candidates must be between 17 and 30 years old, have completed high school, hold a driver's license (categories B through E), and meet minimum height requirements: 1.55 m for women and 1.60 m for men.

The selection process includes several eliminatory stages: an objective exam with 60 questions covering Portuguese, Mathematics, General Knowledge, Informatics, and Public Administration; an essay exam; a physical fitness test (including pull-ups, sit-ups, and running); health and psychological evaluations; and a social conduct investigation. Tattoos are permitted provided they do not promote extremist ideologies, violence, or discrimination.
