In Mogi das Cruzes, a joint inspection by the municipal security department and the Municipal Guard closed a scrap‑yard on 28 July after authorities found undocumented copper. The material was seized, the owner was fined R$ 52,189.26 and taken to police custody on theft charges, with a civil‑police investigation launched into the copper’s origin.

In the neighboring city of Cruzeiro, an integrated response following a bike theft near the railway led to the recovery of two bicycles and the arrest of two suspects. An adult was charged with receptation and two adolescents were detained pending further investigation.

Also in Mogi das Cruzes, the Guard, aided by the Smart Mogi camera system and the Center of Integrated Operations, identified a man carrying an axe who was wanted for drug trafficking, fraud and resistance. He was apprehended, booked and faces a combined sentence of 9 years 9 months.
