São Paulo municipal vehicle crash injures three

A municipal vehicle in São Paulo lost control on Rua Vergueiro on the afternoon of 15 July 2026. The car collided with four other vehicles and a motorcycle, causing three people to be injured. Initial reports indicated the driver may have become ill before the crash.

Emergency services including the traffic engineering company (CET), fire brigade, military police and SAMU responded. The injured were taken to the Hospital do Servidor Público Municipal, Hospital Salvalus and Santa Casa de São Paulo. The road was temporarily closed for rescue operations and cleared later that afternoon.

The incident highlighted concerns about vehicle safety and driver health for municipal fleets.
