São Paulo municipalities move ahead with sports gym and recycling point projects
The city of Araras in São Paulo state reports that construction of the José Alberto Rodini Sports Gym in the Narciso Gomes neighbourhood is 75% complete, with a projected finish by the end of September. The project, funded through the Finisa program of Caixa Econômica Federal, will cost R$ 2.041 179,75 and will host municipal sports classes.
Meanwhile, the municipality of Ribeirão Preto announced plans for a new Ecoponto in its southern zone, intended for voluntary free collection of construction debris, furniture, tree trimmings and recyclables. The site is still in design and study phases, with location and timeline to be determined, aiming to improve waste management and urban cleanliness.
Both initiatives are part of local government efforts to improve public facilities and environmental services in São Paulo state.
