São Paulo officials set up temporary service unit for political visit
The São Paulo City Hall set up and quickly dismantled a temporary unit of the Descomplica 24h public service center at the Smart Sampa building in the Palácio dos Correios on Tuesday. The action coincided with a visit by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas and Mayor Ricardo Nunes.
An anonymous member of the Nunes administration described the space as “scenographic.” While the 24-hour service unit is planned for the Palácio dos Correios in the future, it currently remains at Rua XV de Novembro.
Following the politicians' departure, the monitoring room for the Smart Sampa camera system also saw a significant reduction in staff. The Municipal Secretariat of Innovation and Technology stated that the Smart Sampa system continues to operate normally and attributed the staff reduction to scheduled lunch breaks.
