São Paulo police hunt suspect in fatal stabbing of ‘vovó tiktoker’

Security footage has captured the fatal stabbing of Maria Rizomar Ferreira Cruz, a social media personality known as ‘vovó tiktoker’, in the Grajaú neighborhood of southern São Paulo. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, September 20.

Authorities have identified 43-year-old Francisca Luiz da Silva as the primary suspect. Surveillance video shows the attack and captures the suspect making verbal threats and later stating, ‘matei’ (I killed her), after the victim fell to the ground. Witnesses reported hearing a heated argument between the two women prior to the violence.

Police have recovered documents and the knife believed to be the murder weapon. Investigators are exploring a motive involving a potential personal dispute between the victim and the suspect’s husband. The case is being handled by the 101st Police District, and efforts to locate the suspect are ongoing.
