São Paulo police recover stolen insulin and seize 300 kg of drugs in two operations

Police officers of the São Paulo Military Police recovered a cache of stolen medical supplies, including insulin pens and bottles, valued at over R$12,000. The seizure followed a vehicle chase in the city's eastern zone, ending with the arrest of an adult suspect and the detention of a teenage accomplice. The suspects had earlier robbed a pharmacy on Avenida Sapopemba. In addition to the drugs, police seized R$308 in cash, a firearm and a stolen motorcycle.

In a separate operation in the southern Zona Sul, a police K‑9 unit led by the detection dog Gládios uncovered almost 300 kg of narcotics in the Arrebento community. The haul comprised roughly 286 kg of marijuana, 5 kg of cocaine, 2 kg of crack, as well as perfume-type synthetic drugs, precision scales, a radio communicator and a pistol charger, indicating a well‑organized trafficking network.

Both incidents highlight the São Paulo police’s focus on disrupting organized crime, ranging from pharmaceutical thefts to large‑scale drug distribution.
