São Paulo police recover stolen Serpui luxury bags

The São Paulo Civil Police have recovered 113 luxury handbags from the Brazilian brand Serpui, valued at approximately R$ 260,000. The items were found in a residence in the Lajeado neighborhood of São Paulo during a search and seizure operation.

The recovered goods are linked to a large-scale theft that occurred at the Guarulhos International Airport in September 2025. The original stolen shipment consisted of 844 units valued at R$ 1.9 million.

A 34-year-old woman was arrested in flagrante for receiving stolen goods. During the raid, her 35-year-old husband, who had been identified via security footage as a suspect in the airport theft, managed to flee the premises and remains at large. In addition to the handbags, authorities seized R$ 8,015 in cash and seven mobile phones.
