São Paulo ranked among top 50 global shopping destinations

São Paulo has been ranked as the 33rd best shopping destination in the world for 2026 by the international platform Travel And Tour World (TTW). It is the first city in Latin America to appear on this global list, which evaluates destinations based on the connection between consumption, culture, fashion, design, and local identity.

The ranking is led by London, followed by Milan, New York, Shanghai, Paris, Tokyo, Zurich, Sydney, Seoul, and Vienna. São Paulo’s inclusion highlights its diverse market, which ranges from luxury brands and high-end shopping centers to specialized streets and wholesale hubs like Brás, Pari, and 25 de Março.

Beyond commerce, the city’s identity is shaped by its diverse neighborhoods and cultural heritage. Areas such as Jardins offer high-end boutiques, while Pinheiros and Vila Madalena are known for design and street art. The city also features strong immigrant influences, seen in the Japanese culture of Liberdade and the Italian traditions in Bixiga. Architectural landmarks like the MASP museum further contribute to the city's cultural and urban landscape.
