São Paulo rental industry event to focus on vehicle electrification

The fifth edition of the Rental Mobility event, organized by Sindloc-SP, will take place in São Paulo on September 24. The forum will focus on the increasing electrification of vehicle fleets and its strategic impact on the rental sector.

Key discussion topics include fleet acquisition, the management of used vehicles (seminovos), rental profitability, and business succession. Eladio Paniagua Jr., president of Sindloc-SP, noted that electrification has become a strategic reality, requiring new criteria for maintenance and assessing the residual value of vehicles.

The rental market in São Paulo currently includes over 3,900 associated companies, managing approximately one million active vehicles with an estimated total fleet value of R$ 104 billion. Data from Anfavea indicates that electrified vehicle registrations reached 372,000 units between January and August 2026.
