São Paulo requests Vila Belmiro for match against Corinthians

São Paulo FC has submitted a request to the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) to move its upcoming match against Corinthians to Vila Belmiro in Santos. The match, scheduled for November 4, 2026, at 21:30, is part of the 34th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The request stems from concerns regarding the pitch conditions at the Morumbis stadium. The venue is scheduled to host three concerts by the South Korean group BTS on October 28, 30, and 31. With only four days between the final concert and the football match, officials believe there is insufficient time to restore the grass and prepare the stadium for professional play.

São Paulo and Santos have an existing agreement that allows for the reciprocal use of their stadiums when one is unavailable. While the clubs have reached an understanding, the change of venue remains subject to official ratification by the CBF.
