São Paulo restaurants embrace technology and culinary awards

The São Paulo culinary scene is seeing both technological integration and high-level recognition. The restaurant O Compadre, located in the Lar Center in the North Zone, has introduced Keenon service robots to assist its staff. These autonomous machines help transport dishes to the kitchen, restock the buffet, and carry used utensils, allowing human servers to focus more on direct customer interaction and personalized service.

In the Itaim Bibi district, Cala del Tanit has been named the best Iberian restaurant by the SP Gastronomia 2026 awards. Led by Catalan chef Oscar Bosch, the establishment focuses on modern Mediterranean cuisine, drawing inspiration from Catalonia and Italy through dishes such as grilled octopus and various seafood preparations.
