São Paulo state moves forward with two major viaduct projects

Construction work on the Ribeirão Pires cable‑stayed viaduct entered a new phase on 17 April with the installation of 14 LED luminaires and associated wiring, aimed at improving safety, visibility and energy efficiency for the future four‑lane, 15‑metre‑high structure.

Meanwhile, the Alto Tietê road complex in the São Paulo region began foundation work for a 340‑metre viaduct that will directly connect Poá and Suzano on highway SP‑066, bypassing the existing roundabout. The project, slated for completion in 2027, is part of broader efforts to reduce congestion and integrate local traffic with the Rodoanel Mário Covas.

Both projects are key components of the state's ongoing investment in urban mobility and are expected to enhance traffic flow across the affected municipalities.
