São Paulo state schools open 2027 enrollment for new students

The São Paulo State Education Secretariat (Seduc-SP) has announced that enrollment for new students for the 2027 school year will open on September 1. The registration period runs until September 18 and is intended for students currently outside the state network—such as those in private schools or from other states—as well as those who have interrupted their studies.

Prospective students can register online via the Secretaria Escolar Digital website or in person at one of the 5,000 state schools or Poupatempo service centers. For minors under 18, parents or guardians must complete the registration. The process covers elementary school (1st to 9th grade), high school, and Youth and Adult Education (EJA).

Students already enrolled in the state network for 2026 will have their spots automatically guaranteed for 2027, though they may still register if they wish to request a transfer to a different school unit.
