São Paulo to host 2027 Volleyball Nations League
São Paulo has been confirmed as a host city for a stage of the 2027 Volleyball Nations League (VNL). Mayor Ricardo Nunes announced the event, which is scheduled to take place in June 2027, alongside the Municipal Secretary of Sports and Leisure, Érika Coimbra.
While the tournament is confirmed, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) has not yet released specific dates, exact venues, or the participating groups. The announcement is part of a broader strategy to establish São Paulo as a major global destination for elite volleyball competitions.
Prior to the VNL, the city will host the Women's Club World Championship from December 8 to 13, 2026, at the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium. This competition will feature eight teams, including Brazilian representatives Osasco São Cristóvão Saúde and Sesi Bauru.
