São Paulo to host conference on US$ 234 billion corporate venture market

The 10th edition of Corporate Venture in Brasil, organized by ApexBrasil in partnership with Global Corporate Venturing (GCV), will take place on September 15 and 16 in São Paulo. The conference focuses on the expansion of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC), a model where corporations invest in startups to achieve strategic and financial goals.

Global data from GCV indicates that in 2025, over 3,000 companies participated in startup investment rounds, moving US$ 233.8 billion. The number of investment rounds involving corporations grew by 30% compared to the previous year, while the total financial volume increased by 75%. Currently, approximately one in five global startup investment rounds includes a corporate investor.

In Brazil, the market is gaining relevance. A study by EloGroup, ApexBrasil, ABVCAP, and GCV found that corporations participated in 66 Brazilian startup rounds between July 2024 and June 2025, totaling US$ 700 million. In 30 of these rounds, CVCs led the funding, accounting for US$ 358 million in investments.
