São Paulo to host major architecture forum and MASP cultural gala

São Paulo will host two major cultural events in late 2026 focusing on architecture and Latin American heritage.

The Hunter International Forum, organized by Architecture Hunter, is scheduled for September 29 and 30 at the Memorial da América Latina. The second edition of the forum features a diverse lineup of international professionals, including Thomas Heatherwick of Heatherwick Studio, Tatiana Bilbao, and representatives from the Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG). The program includes panels on urbanism, social impact, and the preservation of Brazilian modernist legacies, alongside site visits to local architectural projects.

On October 7, the 12th Festa MASP will take place at the Lina Bo Bardi building. Centered on the theme “Latin American Stories,” the charity event celebrates regional traditions through music and gastronomy. Performances will include the band Quimbará, Colombian singer Aria Vega, and Brazilian artist Marina Sena. The event, supported by Gucci, serves as a primary fundraiser for the museum's projects.
