São Paulo weather: Cold front brings rain and wind

A cold front approaching the coast of São Paulo is expected to bring widespread rain and wind gusts potentially exceeding 60 km/h this weekend. According to the City of São Paulo's Emergency Management Center (CGE), rainfall volume is predicted to increase on Saturday, September 12, due to a frontal system and instability from the state's interior.

Temperatures are expected to drop significantly. On Saturday, maximum temperatures may not exceed 21°C, with overnight lows around 15°C. Sunday is forecast to be even colder, with maximum temperatures potentially reaching only 16°C and moderate to heavy rainfall increasing the risk of high accumulation. High humidity levels are expected throughout the period.

The National Institute of Meteorology (Inmet) has issued two orange alerts for the state of São Paulo, including a storm alert for Saturday and an alert regarding heavy rainfall accumulation.
