São Sebastião consumer agency reports October activity and issues Black Friday guidance

The Municipal Procon of São Sebastião recorded 371 consumer-related procedures in October, including 276 preliminary services, 74 formal complaints, and 21 conciliation hearings.

In anticipation of Black Friday, the agency is advising consumers to exercise caution, particularly regarding online shopping. Recommendations include verifying company details such as CNPJ, comparing prices across different retailers, and being wary of suspicious links sent via social media or messaging apps. The agency also warns against potential fraud involving Pix or bank slip payments and urges shoppers to confirm that beneficiary data matches the intended vendor.
