São Sebastião hosts major beach tennis and footvolley competitions

The coastal region of São Sebastião, Brazil, is hosting major beach sports competitions. The Estação Open footvolley circuit is making its debut at Juquehy beach from October 23 to 25. Licensed by the Brazilian Footvolley Confederation (CBFV), the event will feature over 400 athletes across various categories, including professional, amateur, and apprentice levels.

Simultaneously, the Sand Series Maresias international beach tennis tournament is reaching its final stages in the region. The competition, which offers $75,000 in prize money, has set up high-stakes finals. In the men's bracket, world number one Mattia Spoto and Nicolas Gianotti face André Baran and Michele Cappelletti. The women's final features top-ranked Italians Giulia Gasparri and Ninny Valentini against Brazilian duo Sophia Chow and Vitória Marchezini.
