São Sebastião shows management improvements in TCE-SP evaluation

São Sebastião has shown significant progress in municipal management according to a recent external evaluation by the Tribunal de Contas do Estado de São Paulo (TCE-SP). The Municipal Management Effectiveness Index (IEG-M) for the 2025 fiscal year awarded the city a grade B in Health, Fiscal Management, and Information Technology.

The municipality improved its overall classification from C to C+, following three consecutive years in the C category. Additionally, the city received a grade B in Citizen Protection and Civil Defense. The IEG-M serves as a diagnostic tool to monitor public policy execution and identify areas for administrative improvement across various dimensions, including planning and education.
