São Tiago hosts 26th Coffee and Biscuit Festival

The 26th Coffee and Biscuit Festival (Festa do Café com Biscoito) is being held in São Tiago, celebrating regional Minas Gerais culture and artisanal culinary traditions. Although heavy rains caused a temporary suspension of the official opening and scheduled musical performances by Sirley and Tiãozinho and the band Dias de Truta, organizers rescheduled the opening for Friday and redistributed the affected shows throughout the program.

The event features cultural workshops, such as the 'Biscoito Falante' and 'Quitandeiras' workshops, aimed at preserving ancestral knowledge and oral history. The festivities also include religious and cultural manifestations like Capoeira circles and the Folia de Reis Mirim procession.
