São Tiago man found shot to death in rural area

A 37-year-old man, identified as Sandro Tadeu de Assis, was found dead in the rural community of Fundo da Mata in São Tiago, Brazil. The victim was discovered near the entrance of a farm by a milk collector around 6:40 a.m.

Preliminary forensic examinations indicated that the victim suffered approximately seven gunshot wounds to the skull and back. Following the incident, the victim's blue Yamaha motorcycle was found completely burned on a rural road in the Cruz do Valo area.

Authorities are investigating the motive, noting that the victim had been involved in negotiations involving third-party money and checks. Police are conducting diligences to identify those responsible.
