São Vicente mansion restoration advances in Manaus
Restoration work is progressing on the São Vicente mansion in the historic center of Manaus, Brazil. The project includes demolition, scaffolding installation, sewage system work, and the beginning of facade restoration.
Developed by the Municipal Institute of Urban Planning (Implurb), the project aims to transform the historic building into an innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship hub. This initiative will integrate the São Vicente Island Innovation District while maintaining the building's historical characteristics and adding modern accessibility and sustainability features.
The project is funded by an investment exceeding R$ 14 million through a partnership between the City of Manaus and Finep. Approximately R$ 10.2 million comes from non-reimbursable federal resources from the National Fund for Scientific and Technological Development (FNDCT), with over R$ 4 million provided by the municipality.
