Soap opera Por Você features character facing homelessness

In the upcoming episodes of the Globo production ‘Por Você’, the character Sabugo (played by Adanilo) faces a housing crisis. After his landlord receives an offer to rent his home for double the current price, Sabugo is forced to vacate the premises.

To protect his daughter, Tom-Tom (Laura Chuff), from the reality of their situation, Sabugo moves their belongings into the school where he works as a janitor. He frames the move as a ‘secret camping adventure’ to avoid alarming the child. He also attempts to hide their overnight stay from the school director, Lucas (Amaury Lorenzo), to maintain a sense of normalcy.
