Sobhita Dhulipala Closes India Couture Week 2026 in Rahul Mishra’s ‘Devi’ Finale
India Couture Week 2026 ended in New Delhi with designer Rahul Mishra presenting his "Devi: The Eternal Muse" collection. Actor Sobhita Dhulipala served as the show‑stopper, walking the ramp in an ivory‑and‑champagne ensemble that featured a sculptural mesh corset, intricate Ajanta‑inspired embroidery, crystal‑beaded detailing and a sheer, sequined over‑skirt. She completed the look with a diamond choker, metallic heels and a Magnolia‑inspired couture hair accessory.
Mishra highlighted the collection’s use of his signature ekta‑arka embroidery technique, describing the garments as “thread by thread, like stone carving.” The finale also included a live shringar ceremony that adorned Dhulipala on stage. Earlier in the event, designer Aisha Rao showcased her "Priyasi" line, exploring themes of love with bio‑based fabrics and her own embroidery style. The week was organized by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) and marked the Indian debut of the collection after its Paris showcase.
