Sobhita Dhulipala discusses community resistance and her move to Mumbai

Actress Sobhita Dhulipala has commented on the lack of support within the Telugu community, echoing sentiments shared by Hyderabad-based influencer Ahalya. Ahalya previously noted that members of the community often fail to support one another when starting new businesses or creative ventures.

Dhulipala shared her personal history of moving from Andhra Pradesh to Mumbai at age 16 to pursue her career. She described her former environment as “deeply resistant and judgemental of anyone who dares to dream,” noting that women often face a “double dose” of such scrutiny. While reflecting on these past experiences, the actress expressed hope that the community's mindset has evolved, concluding her remarks by encouraging others to “grow wings (and a spine).”
