Soccerina of Time transforms Zelda into a Nintendo 64 soccer game

A modder known as shonj352 is developing ‘Soccerina of Time’, a Nintendo 64 ROM hack that transforms the world of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time into an arcade-style soccer game. Inspired by titles like Super Mario Strikers, the project converts original factions and locations into soccer clubs, such as Kokiri FC and Goron FC.

The game features iconic characters including Link, Sheik, and Ganondorf, and includes a character editor that allows for absurd visual combinations. Players can also see characters like Deku Scrubs performing substitutions during matches.

Notably, the developer has stated that much of the core code was written using the AI tool Claude, while the creator focuses on manual debugging, physics testing, music, textures, and 3D modeling. The project is currently in development with no official release date.
