Social Affairs Minister addresses DTSEN decile data fluctuations
Indonesian Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, also known as Gus Ipul, has addressed the recent fluctuations in the decile rankings within the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN). The discrepancies were caused by approximately 12 million new data entries from the National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) that had not yet undergone the necessary verification and validation processes.
The government has since corrected these significant changes through the DTSEN Volume 3.1 issued by the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). Minister Yusuf stated that the data is being stabilized, organized, and verified, with expectations for increased accuracy within the next one to two weeks.
Regarding social assistance (bansos), the Minister clarified that changes in decile rankings do not result in the immediate removal of recipients from aid lists. Distribution remains subject to the official determination of recipients during scheduled disbursement periods.
