Social and family support services expand in Italy
In Italy, social and family support services are expanding through long-standing institutions and new regional pilot programs. The Istituto Rezzara family clinic, operating since 1966, provides psychological, pedagogical, and legal counseling to individuals, couples, and families. The clinic offers specialized services including support for adolescents, family mediation for separating couples, and assistance for the elderly facing loneliness or bereavement.
Simultaneously, the Rimini District, including the Municipality of Casteldelci, is implementing a personalized 'Individual Life Project' pilot program for 2025-2026. Aimed at residents with disabilities, the initiative follows a three-step process: listening to the individual's needs, collaborative planning involving social and health services, and ongoing monitoring. The program focuses on achieving autonomy in areas such as housing, social inclusion, and vocational training.
