Social and solidarity awards recognize Teresa Perales and Anna Ferrer Perry
Several international awards have been announced recognizing significant contributions to social welfare and solidarity.
Fundación Mapfre has named the winners of its Social Awards, which carry a total prize pool of 160,000 euros. Among the recipients is Paralympic swimmer Teresa Perales, who received the ‘A Toda una Vida Profesional’ award for her sporting excellence and advocacy for equal opportunities. Other winners include Ayúdame3D, AESLEME, and Cortijo Guadiana. The awards recognize outstanding actions in scientific, cultural, and social fields.
Additionally, Anna Ferrer Perry, president of the Fundación Vicente Ferrer, has been awarded the 23rd Navarra International Solidarity Prize. The award recognizes her 57-year career in India, focusing on poverty reduction and the rights of women and people with disabilities through community work and sustainability. The prize, worth 25,000 euros, was granted by the Government of Navarra in collaboration with Laboral Kutxa.
