Social assistance project takes youth to Sítio Roberto Burle Marx

The Municipal Secretariat of Social Assistance (SMAS) organized a visit to the Sítio Roberto Burle Marx in Barra de Guaratiba for 32 children and adolescents from social reintegration units. This activity is part of the ‘Pontes para o Futuro’ project, which uses art and culture to engage youth in vulnerable social situations.

The group explored the 405,000-square-meter site, which features tropical gardens, nurseries, lakes, and a museum collection of over 3,000 art pieces. The initiative aims to foster a sense of belonging and knowledge production among participants. Upcoming activities for the program include a visit to Cidade das Artes to watch the musical ‘Wicked’.
