Social cooperatives in Italy receive recognition and focus on inclusion

The social cooperative ‘Il Fiore’ in Magenta has been awarded the 19th edition of the ‘Premio Bontà’ by the Unione Nazionale Cavalieri d’Italia (UNCI). The award recognizes the organization's role in providing social inclusion and employment for approximately thirty individuals. The cooperative recently overcame significant challenges following the 2024 bankruptcy of Technisurb, a long-term partner; production has since resumed following the acquisition of Technisurb by the Genoese company Mares.

In Cremona, leaders from Agropolis and the Sol. Co consortium are emphasizing the importance of networking and labor in the third sector. Agropolis integrates agriculture with social inclusion, while the Sol. Co consortium unites various social cooperatives to transform solidarity into formal employment. These initiatives aim to provide individuals with fragilities the opportunity to learn trades and achieve personal, social, and economic autonomy.
