Social counseling services in Germany receive support and awareness efforts
Various social and psychological counseling services in Germany are highlighting their availability to individuals facing difficult life situations. In Haßfurt, the RentenSCHMIEDE program hosted a session featuring Frau Harfst from the Haßfurt Health Department's psychosocial counseling center. The center provides free, low-threshold support for people dealing with emotional distress, mental illness, addiction, disabilities, or age-related limitations, as well as their relatives.
In Kaiserslautern, the Diakonie is organizing a special service to collect donations to fund its counseling work in the Palatinate and Saarpfalz regions. These services offer confidential assistance for financial crises, family conflicts, and personal hardships. Because public subsidies and church tax funds are insufficient to cover all costs, the Diakonie relies on donations to ensure that professional help remains accessible and local for those in need.
