Social Democratic campaign worker assaulted in Bromölla

A 20-year-old Social Democratic campaign worker was severely assaulted while conducting door-to-door campaigning in Bromölla. According to police reports, the individual sustained multiple blows to the head and required ambulance transport to a hospital.

The Swedish Social Democratic Youth League (SSU) issued a statement condemning the attack, asserting that they will not be intimidated and will continue their democratic engagement. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson also addressed the incident, stating that he views the assault on a political worker with extreme seriousness and emphasized that threats and violence have no place in a democracy.
