Social Democratic Party launches women's grassroots mobilization drive

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) has launched a nationwide grassroots mobilization drive aimed at strengthening its female leadership ahead of future elections. During a strategic meeting in Abuja, the National Speaker of the SDP Women Parliament, Hajiya Sa’adatu Abdullahi, called on women leaders to build functional structures across states, wards, and communities.

Abdullahi emphasized that political success requires organization, strategy, and effective engagement rather than wishful thinking. She urged state leaders to act as strategic pillars for the party, stressing the importance of unity and discipline to amplify women's voices in the political space.

Representing the National Chairman, Professor Sadiq Gombe, Senator Ugochukwu Uba assured party women of increased inclusion. He noted that the SDP is currently undergoing reforms and reorganization to strengthen its internal structures for upcoming political activities.
