Social Democratic Party official emphasizes meritocracy and anti-corruption
Kemal Baykallı, the Secretary of Foreign Relations and Digital Diplomacy for the Social Democratic Party (TDP), outlined the party’s core priorities during an appearance on Ada TV. Baykallı emphasized that the party’s primary objective is to prevent corruption, stating, “Our number one project, do you know what it is? Not to commit corruption.”
Baykallı noted that the TDP is developing projects focused on education, healthcare, and meritocracy. He argued that establishing a clean and reliable public administration and ensuring the proper use of public resources are essential to regaining public trust and solving existing economic and administrative issues.
Addressing concerns regarding democracy and representation, Baykallı criticized current political trends that undermine citizen confidence. He cited an example of a political leadership contest where the candidate finishing fourth became the party leader and prime minister, while the first-place candidate served as a minister under them, calling this a situation that must be questioned in terms of democratic representation.
