Social disputes reported in Xalapa and Hidalgo

In Veracruz, members of the Movimiento Antorchista gathered in the Margarita Morán neighborhood of Xalapa to protest a scheduled eviction of 191 families. Juventino Navarrete Xilita, the movement's leader in Veracruz, alleged that the eviction order resulted from a simulated trial by a private individual claiming ownership of the land. He stated that the residents have lived there peacefully for 14 years and that while they seek to regularize their status through the State Heritage Directorate, they are requesting government mediation to ensure a fair price for the land.

In Hidalgo, residents of San Ildefonso announced plans to challenge a resolution by the Electoral Tribunal of the State of Hidalgo (TEEH) regarding the election of community authorities. Local leaders, including César Cruz Benítez and Crisóforo Ramírez, accused the municipal government, led by Tania Valdez Cuéllar, of interfering in traditional community organization. They claim the municipality issued credentials to individuals not chosen through traditional customs and alleged the misuse of public resources and the distribution of goods to influence local opinion.
