Social Fishing Guard patrols Sanok rivers San and Osława

The Social Fishing Guard (SSR) in Sanok conducts regular early‑morning patrols on the San and Osława rivers and nearby water bodies. Officers start as early as 4 a.m. to monitor anglers during peak activity, checking licences, legal catch sizes and limits despite the challenges of high summer temperatures.

During the latest operation 11 anglers were inspected and no violations were recorded. The SSR highlighted that heat can cause low dissolved‑oxygen conditions, stressing fish and reducing their activity, and urged responsible fishing to protect local fish populations and ecosystem balance.
