Social housing projects completed in Paraguay and Chile

In Paraguay, President Santiago Peña and the Minister of Urbanism, Housing and Habitat, Juan Carlos Baruja, led the delivery of 111 social housing units across three municipalities in the Central Department. The distribution included 42 homes in Luque (specifically in the ‘2 de Noviembre’ and ‘San Pedro II’ territories), 44 in J. Augusto Saldívar, and 25 in Limpio. Of the homes delivered in Luque, 17 were executed through the Itaipú Technological Park (PTI).

In Chile, the Villa Portales housing project in the Maule commune has concluded a 20-year wait for 25 families. Developed under the Rural Habitability program, the complex includes houses with two and three bedrooms, green areas, playgrounds, lighting, and a wastewater treatment plant. The project aims to provide permanent housing for families who previously relied on rentals.
