Social inclusion organizations celebrate 40 years of service in Spain

Two Spanish social organizations, APRODISCA and Fundació Deixalles, recently celebrated their 40th anniversaries, highlighting their roles in social inclusion and the solidarity economy.

APRODISCA held an event in La Selva del Camp to mark four decades of fostering labor alliances between companies, administrations, and local agents. The organization emphasized that deep social transformation requires collective effort and highlighted the importance of building teams that share a common vision. The ceremony included recognition for key figures Carme Sureda and Pepita Español, as well as participation from local officials.

In Palma, Fundació Deixalles celebrated its 40-year history at the Teatre Principal. Founded in 1986 to support individuals in situations of vulnerability or risk of exclusion, the foundation focuses on social inclusion and environmental sustainability through circular economy projects and material reuse. The event was attended by various political representatives, including the President of the Congress of Deputies, Francina Armengol, and local leaders.
