Social initiatives and violence prevention programs launched in Rome
Rome is hosting two significant social welfare initiatives focused on inclusion and protection. The Antonio Emanuele Augurusa Foundation has inaugurated its new headquarters, a space designed to support youth and vulnerable populations. The facility will host Virtus Lab, a project aimed at talent development and socio-professional inclusion to assist young people in entering the workforce.
Additionally, the Salvamamme Association is presenting the “Valigia di Salvataggio” (Rescue Suitcase) manual at the Lazio Region headquarters. Developed with support from the Department for Equal Opportunities, the manual provides an operational model for protecting women victims of violence and their children. The initiative includes a collection campaign to provide essential goods to women forced to flee violent domestic situations, ensuring they have the necessary resources to connect with protection services.
