Social media reacts to viral pet videos in Japan

Various pet-related videos have gained significant attention on social media platforms in Japan. One viral Threads post features a miniature dachshund displaying a dignified, human-like posture while leaning on a bed to see its owner off in the morning.

Another trending post on X features a Pekingese and Pomeranian mix named Nankotsu. The dog’s appearance went viral due to the striking contrast between its cute face and a bulky, muscular-looking silhouette caused by its fur being compressed by a harness. The owner clarified that the appearance is due to fur shape rather than actual muscle.
