Social pressures and burnout trends emerge in Poland
Recent sociological data and personal accounts highlight growing psychological pressures facing men and parents in Poland. A study by Prezentmarzeń regarding the definition of masculinity indicates that 36% of men value shared experiences, such as dinners or cinema outings, over material gifts. The research notes that men face challenges including pressure, increasing responsibility, and a perceived lack of daily appreciation.
Simultaneously, parental burnout has emerged as a significant issue. While international studies by the Institute of Psychological Research at UCLouvain show burnout rates between 2% and 12% across 42 countries, Poland reports a rate of approximately 8%, which is noted as one of the highest indicators globally. Parents report symptoms of permanent exhaustion and anger driven by the demands of balancing professional work, domestic duties, and intensive childcare schedules.
