Social project brings art and culture workshops to Guarulhos students

The Instituto Brasil Solidário (IBS) is conducting a series of educational and cultural workshops at the EPG Jorge Amado municipal school in Guarulhos, São Paulo. Held from October 27 to 29, the initiative targets students from the 1st to 5th grade of elementary school, as well as educators.

The program includes 11 different workshops, such as music making with scrap materials, T-shirt printing, library organization, and puppet theater. A unique gastronomic component features chefs from Venezuela, Iran, and Uganda, who will share recipes and cultural stories with students aged 6 to 10.

Supported by Instituto Motiva and RioSP, the project is part of the Biannual Brasil Solidário Plan, which also reaches municipalities including Campo Grande, Piraí, and Ponta Grossa. The event concludes on October 29 with a performance by 20 students from the Orquestra Locomotiva.
