Social security developments in Congo and Tunisia

In the Republic of the Congo, the Caisse nationale de sécurité sociale (CNSS) has launched a training seminar in Brazzaville to promote its new digital e-declaration platform. The initiative, presided over by Minister of Labor Annie Michelle Mouanga, aims to modernize social security procedures by allowing employers and NGOs to declare employees and social contributions online. This digital shift is intended to reduce administrative constraints, eliminate the need for physical travel, and accelerate the processing of declarations.

Separately, in Tunisia, social security expert Hédi Dahmane has called for urgent legislative reforms regarding platform-based work. As digital services such as delivery and transport expand, tens of thousands of workers remain without clear legal status or adequate social protection. Dahmane emphasized the need for a legal framework that ensures decent wages, health coverage, and insurance against occupational accidents for those working via digital platforms.
